Mus-Max ranks among the best premium brands on the European chipper market. The Wood Terminator wood chippers for the production of biomass (wood chips) have been successfully marketed throughout Europe since 1994. The export volume for chippers is approx. 85%, and the trend is rising. Deliveries are made to 24 countries in Europe thanks to a solid dealership network.
Mus-Max emerged from the market blacksmith in the Austrian town of Groß St. Florian, which was founded in 1859 by Karl Gutjahr. In the 1970s the former blacksmith’s shop established itself as a company specializing in the construction of agricultural machinery. The successful development and marketing of hay blowers, slurry mixers, screw conveyers, corn mills, mixing equipment, hydro-silo milling equipment and much more followed. The development of the Wood Terminator wood chipper in 1994 was the kickoff for the company’s market presence throughout Europe. The first Wood Terminator was delivered to Japan in 2014.
In the meantime equipment is being produced in three mills. Providing contract manufacturing for industrial and steel construction companies in the region (sheet metal technology) on the one hand, and being a producer of forest machinery and agricultural machinery on the other hand, ensure success throughout Europe.

Full-grain facilities
The trouble-free, air-tight storage of freshly harvested, unground grain maize and grains. Discharge quantities are not relevant, operation in winter trouble-free, freshly ground maize daily, full-grain silage: a well-tried system. Over 1,500 plants in operation.

Sheet metal processing
We gathered our first experience in this area around the year 1970, namely with the production of pipe parts, pipe connections and elbows for agriculture.
We kept buying new machinery for improved processing in order to be able to manufacture the products that we mainly sold ourselves then in a more efficient manner. For this purpose, we purchased Sikker machines, rolling machines, swing folding machines, plate shears, etc.
This enables us to manufacture various sheet metal parts for other companies as well. We produced many parts that were covered by the term of tinsmith work that was used at that time.
Due to the constantly increasing demand for the cutting of sheet metal parts, we purchased a punching machine after that. This was followed by the first laser machine, and we really started to gain a foothold as contract manufacturer for sheet metal production. In order to be able to make further progress with this refinement process, we have been using two folding presses for many years and keep investing into laser technology.
Today we manufacture sheetings, trays, covers, hoppers and many more for all branches of industry.
